Balm in Gilead
by Landford Wilson
Directed by Laura Henry
Catawba Arena - Winston-Salem, NC
This play is set inside and outside of a 24 hour café in the Upper West Side, New York City, 1965. The music selected for this play was popular music from the 1960's. Music played out of a jukebox inside the cafe, and street sounds underscored some of the scenes outside the café. The set did not have a café door, so there was a door sound every time a character entered or left the café.
